1988 John Carpenter movie "They LIve"-- Secret PTB and the 33

Just saw this 1988 John Carpenter flick for the first time. It's not a great movie, but it's very well done, very watchable and definitely worth seeing if you haven't.

Great concept of the Hoffman shades-- they allow you to see "reality", all the aliens and their subliminal messages everywhere in the media. And of course the mainstream media and authorities are in on the deception.

Classic line from the main character played by the recently deceased Roddy Piper:
"I came here to chew bubblegum and kick some ass... and I'm all out of bubblegum."

But importantly, the movie hits on a major conspiracy theme: aliens living among us, using us and controlling us.

This early sequence basically tells the story, then I love how the 33's show up on the TVs, in a new scene, right after he tells us about the secret evil PTB (screen shots from the DVD):

No, I don't think the two different 33's showing up right after that speech was a coincidence.

33 of the Day: Nuclear Fracking and Radiatioactive Wastewater

Anyone who doubts that 33 is code is a fucking idiot:
In December, 1967, scientists from the Atomic Energy Commission and officials from the U.S. Bureau of Mines and El Paso Natural Gas Company gathered at a gas well in northern New Mexico, near Farmington. They lowered a 29-kiloton nuclear device more than 4,000 feet down the shaft and set it off.
It worked.
“The 4,042-foot-deep detonation created a molten glass-lined cavern about 160 feet in diameter and 333 feet tall,” according to the American Oil and Gas Historical Society. “It collapsed within seconds. Subsequent measurements indicated fractures extended more than 200 feet in all directions – and significantly increased natural gas production.”
The Atomic Energy Commission tried twice more. In 1969 they set off a 43-kiloton nuclear bomb in an 8,500-foot deep well near Rulison, Colorado. In  1973 they set off three 33-kiloton bombs in a single well near Rifle, Colorado. In all three tests, they collaborated with the local gas utilities.
For "33 afficianados", this is freaking gold. Seriously? 333 feet tall, exactly?

That's a made up number, all the way.

And I also found this in a related article:
Another report, issued by the New York-based Grassroots Environmental Education by Ivan White, a career scientist for the National Council on Radiation Protection, came to a similar conclusion as the USGS and Penn State reports, maintaining that fracking can produce waste much higher in radiation than previously thought.
White’s report tested 11 vertical wells that were conventionally drilled in New York and found that levels of radium in those wells averaged at 8,433 picocuries per liter. The EPA’s limit for drinking water is 5 pCi/L for both radium-226 and radium-228 combined.

A Blatant and Illustrative Nuclear 33

In today's NYTimes no less.

Note the little blurb on the front online page for the Op-Ed:

331 nukes!

The article makes the case that the US only needs 331 (or 311, see below) nukes, despite the fact that we now have 5,113 nukes.

Note, the official title of the piece is "An Arsenal We Can All Live With". The title is NOT 331 nukes as cited by the front page link screen shot shown above.

When you read the dang piece, the funny part is how most of the article talks about 311 nukes! And as they talk about how they calculate the number of nukes needed, their number indeed adds up to 311, not 331--

100 land based nuclear missiles (in silos)
192 submarine based nuclear missiles (Trident subs)
19 plane-based nuclear missiles (B-2 bomber)

That's 311.

But then they write "our 331-missile plan", as their sum of the number of missiles needed. (Note, this has now been changed to "our 311-missile plan" in the current version of the piece)

In the NEXT PARAGRAPH, they write 311 nuclear weapons are what is needed.

Clearly, someone was trying to have a 33 there-- a 33 they advertised on the front page. But they actually refer to 311 five times and 331 only once (later zero times) in the piece!

The piece was written by "Gary Schaub Jr. is an assistant professor of strategy at the Air War College and James Forsyth Jr. is a professor of strategy at the School of Advanced Air and Space Studies."

I think this incident should clear up any lingering doubts about the significance of "33", and the desire for certain people to insert 33's into their writings.

Starting June 30, most of the 133,000 American troops left here will be housed in large bases outside the capital and other cities -- unable to react unless called on for help. The withdrawal is part of an agreement under which all U.S. troops are to leave Iraq by the end of 2011."

2nd)
BAGHDAD (AP) -- Bombings and shootings killed more than 30 people across Iraq on Monday, including high school students on their way to final exams, part of a new round of violence ahead of next week's deadline for U.S. troops to withdraw from urban areas.

The attacks pushed the three-day Iraqi death toll over 100, shattering a recent lull and adding fresh doubt to the ability of government forces to protect people without U.S. soldiers by their sides. American combat troops have already begun moving from inner-city outposts to large bases outside Baghdad and other cities.

Overall levels of violence remain low, but Iraqi officials have warned that militants will likely carry out more attacks to erode public confidence in the government as the Americans pull out of cities by June 30 -- the first step toward a full withdrawal from the country by the end of 2011.

"There aren't enough Iraqi army and police and they're ill-equipped to confront the terrorists," said Abdul-Salam Mohammed, a 33-year-old car dealer in the former insurgent stronghold of Baqouba, north of Baghdad. "The pullout is not in our interest at this moment because we are still in the recovery phase and not yet cured."
